Import -- Reducing Tree Depth

warrenrh: BackGround: Into a NEW AML Pages Document -- I used the commands menu ---> File ---> Import ---> Directory (with the Recursive search, and Include directory tree in document tree) options selected. I now have the folder structure -- "Unnamed Folder" with a child folder "work06" (the Directory I imported recursively). "work06" contains about 10 children folders. Followed by a Normal Tree structure. Philosophy: I like to reduce or limit the Depth of the Tree structure. Each level in the Tree has some useful function. IMO - Having a folder, contain only a Single folder, and not anything else is not very useful. Desired Actions: First Choice -- If I knew how (or if Aml Pages would let me) -- I would move the "work06" folder to be at the topmost root level. Second Choice - If I knew how (or if Aml Pages would let me) -- I might even just move each of the 10 children folders (mentioned above) to be at the topmost root level. Third Choice -- I do know how to individually move each of the 10 child folders (mentioned above) to become children of the topmost "Unanamed Folder". I know how to Rename and/or delete folders, and would soon do so. Question: Can I perform my First Choice or Second Choice with Aml Pages? How?

Select Your folders on right pane. 3. Drag to other folder on left pane (tree). 4. Choose method (copy or move). Method #2 1. Select folder in tree pane. 2. Right click and choose "Cut" 3. Create new document. 4. Insert into new document this folder from clipboard (right click on tree pane and "Paste"). Method #3 1. Select folder in tree pane. 2. Choose menu command "View\Filter\Only this branch". Selected folder will be placed as root folder. This the temporary method. Structure of document is const. Only filter.
